January, 2020
SoDak Marketing Launches and Finds a Home
Just two months before the world shut down, SoDak Marketing was launched with a vision to help local businesses grow. Despite the uncertainty of a global pandemic in early 2020, Brian (Owner) and Jaurex (Director of Marketing Operations) rolled up their sleeves and pushed forward—helping clients pivot and thrive when online presence became critical. That same energy fueled the opening of our first office in the Rushmore Mall (now Uptown Rapid), where Brian wired the space by hand and Jaurex turned a dusty storage room into our first team hub. It wasn’t glamorous—but it was ours, and it marked the beginning of something real.

A Growing Team + Expanding Marketing Services
By 2022, our team had grown to five passionate professionals, each bringing new skills and fresh ideas. We expanded our service offerings to better serve our local clients—helping more businesses stand out, convert customers, and grow online. With that growth, we quickly outgrew our original space.

New Marketing Office Opens in Downtown Rapid City
We moved into a larger, custom-designed office in the heart of Downtown Rapid City. The new location gave us more room to collaborate, meet with clients face-to-face, and continue building meaningful partnerships throughout the Black Hills and beyond.

SoDak Tech: Second Location Opens in Rapid City
To better serve the backend needs of our marketing clients, we launched SoDak Tech—our second location dedicated to IT, software development, and hosting services. This milestone allowed us to bring tech solutions fully in-house, giving our clients faster, more reliable support.
